Weekly Photo Challenge: Escape (III)

Diving Deep

Diving deep
disappearing
if just for a short
breathless
moment

Shock of cold
Freedom
from thoughts of old

I see
Nothing
I sense
Everything

Touched
by sea of worlds
something changed
resurfacing
I was never
quite the same

Photo by C.C. with my camera, a shot of my first dive in the Atlantic, before I knew this wild and magnificent ocean was going to be my closest neighbor and home for many years to come… Here I understood, I had escaped old life and ways of thinking and made a complete surrender to the constant new. The doors to life opened wide….

    • Michele, a lifetime of many leaps… a surrender to life, because fact is, it knows better than ‘I’… πŸ™‚ Thank you as always for your generous comments with much presence.

A symbolic dive into a new phase of your personal life; nice of you to share photo and poem. The title says something about how you experienced your ‘old life’ before the dive, I think.

    • Harrie, thank you for this reflective comment. I used to love my ‘old life’ until it reached a dead end and I realized how ‘programmed’ I was. Life now had something new and different in store for me. It took a long time with many mad and exciting tales to arrive to the point of surrender and let life be in demand and give it complete trust. Basically, to get out of my own way. So yes, the photo and the words are connected and part of one of the many tales πŸ™‚
