I watched them get bolder and stronger, until the day it was time to start the long journey South. It’s always with a little pang in the heart, when they leave and with them their joyful ways, knowing all the dangers and challenges they will meet. I wish them well and despite my love for autumn and winter, I can’t wait to hear their excited little chirps when they return again next year. As long as the swallows returns, something is still right in the world.

I am not sure why this particular image spoke to me today. In black and white and in colours. But loudly it spoke and share I must. Such is the way with art. It has a mission wider than me and I don’t always get to understand the information. Until later. Or not at all.

The one that left a little beautiful piece of himself in my heart that day was this bay boy with the calmest soul-reaching eyes. Time evaporated standing with him, feeling his gentle breath on my cheek, soaking up the most wonderful scent of being at home in the world, and feeling him choosing to stay with me, quietly being, quietly seeing, quietly knowing.
Most here will know my love for the natural world and animals. From where the inspiration for my photography art springs. But you might not know the depth of my feelings for, in particularly, horses. My best friend was a horse in my young teens. Rarely a day goes by

2022 was a year of giving my all and everything to my dreams. My dreams had been patient. And they hadn’t given up on me. This year their time had finally come and was expressed through my photography art and through ‘Hanne’s Cottage’, beautifully linked. (There are more dreams and
“It is a dream come true and it is a beautiful way to support another love of mine; my art and photography. Speaking of which; ‘Hanne’s Cottage’ will have my work on the walls. It will become with time like staying in a photography gallery. Everything can be purchased directly off the walls.”
