Winter glow
Longer days
Are drawing nearer
Perhaps too
Our inner sight
Will become clearer
As we transition
From dark to light
May the mystery of darkness
Become a resting place
The yin and yang
Of our souls
Connecting inner and outer space
Spinning perspectives
On our existence
To make it matter
It is our choice
To look the other way
Or raise a humble
Yet persistent voice
For peace
Happy Winter Solstice!

Beautiful photo, and a nice tribute to a day when my mood can’t help but lift a bit!

I’m delighted if what I do, spills over and into lifting a mood for you, even if it’s just a tiny bit! 🙂 Thank you for letting me know, it’s very encouraging. Not that it would stop me without such comments as yours, but still.

Reblogged this on From Midnight to Dawnlight and commented:
One Sentence Story: As her warm fingers caressed the shore taking back the years, he knew he had weathered winter.
Hanne’s photos and words are always inspiring. Just one look can coax a story a story from me. Please visit the blog and enjoy.

Hello I seem to hav trawled my way here by chance, and am mesmerized by this poem and picture. Of all places in my memories, I’ve never stopped yearning for both the seascapes of my childhood and the feel of real winters. You catch it all and so much more!
