There is some kiss we want
with our whole lives,
the touch of spirit on the body.
Seawater begs the pearl
to break its shell.
And the lily, how passionately
it needs some wild darling.
At night, I open the window
and ask the moon to come
and press its face against mine.
Breathe into me.
Close the language-door
and open the love-window.
The moon won’t use the door,
only the window.

Very few expresses life as a human being as strong, humble and poetic as Rumi. I’m happy this post brought to you a beautiful start of the day and thank you for your comment on the sea painting too, I’m this moment working on more of those ‘abstract sea art photos’. It’s an incredible sensation to all of a sudden witness an image emerge from a less sharp quality photography. I suppose, there is beauty all around us, if we are open to look for it…. (it does come “through the window”, not the “door”)

As soon as the name for the photograph emerged, I surrendered all writing, because Rumi was firmly knocking on the door…
