Swallow In Flight

I watched them get bolder and stronger, until the day it was time to start the long journey South. It’s always with a little pang in the heart, when they leave and with them their joyful ways, knowing all the dangers and challenges they will meet. I wish them well and despite my love for autumn and winter, I can’t wait to hear their excited little chirps when they return again next year. As long as the swallows returns, something is still right in the world.
