Threshold II

Connemara Rainbow I

Rainbow touching
Sunlit trees
Dark clouds lingering
Holding rusty keys

Rainbow reaching
Beyond the eye
Down to our world
Beneath an infinite sky

Rainbow weaving
A new fabric of life
Golden branches illuminating
The mystery by my side

Rainbow calling
Showing a different way
Over the threshold
The unknown leading the way

  1. Love the intensity of the colors, the trees highlighted by sun but also by the dark sky; lovely poetic interpretation, especially “a new fabric of life” and “showing a different way.” Maybe I am in need of that myself?

    • What would a new fabric of life and a different way look like to you? For me, it seems to always be the case, life constantly renewing itself, me doing my best to follow suit ๐Ÿ™‚
It was a remarkable sight. I was standing looking in the opposite direction taking the photo in threshold I and then when I turn around this completely different scenery unfolds before my eyes. I do enjoy very much when words then decides to follow, as if they are jumping out from the feel of photo.

      • I am not sure, Hanne, in the process of figuring that out…not a totally new life, as I really enjoy my life as it is, but perhaps adding a new component….

        • ‘Adding a new component’ has a wonderful feel to it!
When it comes to my life, the greatest new fabrics (shifts) are mostly within and the outside doesn’t necessarily have to be changed because where I’m then looking from has already changed creating a ripple effect in how I each time appear to walk differently through life, even if it from the outside look the same, it isn’t.
I would love to hear what the new component might turn out to be, if you should care one day to share it.

    • Me too ๐Ÿ™‚ I even live in what’s called Rainbow Cottage lol! (I didn’t name it) They are not easy to catch on camera those rainbows, which kind of adds to the mystic feeling they brings to me and apparently you too…. ๐Ÿ™‚

I saw the most beautiful double rainbows in Hawaii. Sometimes I think the more people, the less likelihood of seeing them so clearly.

  5. Breathtaking fusion of rainbows and thresholds. Simply stunning. “Golden branches illuminating/The mystery by my side.” There’s a musicality in this poem that reaches my ears! I think I can hear Joni Mitchell or Ricky Lee Jones singing about “dark clouds lingering/holding rusty keys.” Hanne, as ever… your brilliance enthralls me!

    • Michele! How immensely beautiful words from you! I can’t express my gratitude enough for how touched I am that it reached you in such a way…
And I smile quite surprised because of the fact that I have listened to Rickie Lee Jones since I was 12! Yes, I was an oddball, no-one my age listened to that lol! But for years I haven’t heard her music, now I must listen to it again! ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you, you always manage to bring more inspiration to me through your comments!

      • Hanne, it’s funny because as I wrote the mention of Rickie Lee Jones I was thinking that you would be too young to be touched by her music — but, somehow, I had a feeling that you would buck the trend. Thank you for the confirmation ๐Ÿ™‚ You are not an oddball at all… instead, you are an outrageously talented artist. Yes, please listen to Rickie’s music once again. She deserves to be remembered. I love her song “Coolsville”. Keep up your unique and inspired work. Best wishes, Michele

        • Michele, you have a strong sense of the world and it’s people! I listened to Rickie Lee Jones all evening, it was amazing to re-discover her. It was like travelling back in time and bring some of it to the present. Her music still resonates with strongly, like a home-coming somewhat. She was almost the only music I listened to back then, so much that my friends, if they heard her songs, reminded them of me ๐Ÿ™‚
Thank you so much for your encouraging words, it still has a little way to go (less and less as times go by) for me to really believe and trust my creative side has value, not only to me. It’s all so new. Didn’t know about it until a few years ago. Like discovering a completely hidden gem inside that I deeply treasure and which often leaves me surprised, very quiet and humble…
I do love exchanging words and musicality with you Michele. It will be a special meeting, the day we are having a in a London cafe or if you pass by Ireland, don’t hesitate to contact me!
I wish you a beautiful spring time where ever in the world life takes you.

          • Hanne, thank you again and again for elucidating the steps on your magical journey. It is still amazing to me that your creative side is a fairly recent discovery. (Out of the blue!) Your artistry is deeply valuable. Like parcels of Heaven which fall from the sky ๐Ÿ™‚ Your frequency resonates so strongly with Mother Nature… that it was only a matter of time before you’d find the tools to speak back to Her. That dialogue is the one that’s now unfolding. When we meet we will wonder how we could never have not known each other. We have been listening to the same songs! Beautiful springtime to you my dear friend.

            • “Out of the blue” is exactly how my first poem happened! Just sitting there, pen moving, had no idea what I was writing. It was a clear blue sky and all of a sudden I write about thunder. I was quite puzzled by that…. two hours later there is a thunder storm! They are rare here, only experienced 3 in 3 years. Just describing this, as your words on Mother nature completely hit home! I have never looked upon it like that, but it resonates deeply. Thank you so much for that! A friend once said to me; remember; Earth is your oldest friend. And for some reason it brought tears to my eyes….
I think our meeting will be something in the style of; There you are! Long time no see! Good to see you again. Tell me everything that has happened since last we met… lol!

              • Dearest Hanne, thank you for sharing the moment when your pen started moving and you shifted into a new gear of creative enlightenment. The writing… and then the sudden appearance of the thunderstorm is a remarkable sign. You are in alignment with the universe! Sometimes, I wonder if you’ve reappeared out of Ancient Egypt. Lol… Can’t wait for the day when I see your face. We will laugh a lot… Have a beautiful day my dear friend ๐Ÿ™‚
