Looking deep
Into a boundless lake
Of existence
Of being
Of life’s ache
What do you see?
Perspectives spinning
What stories within
Are winning?
Is the sky blue
Behind and underneath the clouds?
Is the world turned upside down?
Does it make you believe
You are about to drown?
Or do you sense
Freedoms wings, invisibilities crown?
Even if only in a short
Timeless glimpse
As you pass the temple-gate
guarded by the Egyptian sphinx?
Do you know
In the reflection of a vulnerable tear
There is a spark
a flame
That truly knows no fear?
Something’s stirring in the depths
Life’s breath
Creating ripples on the surface
Walking through the furnace
Burning away stories of old
Leaving an empty space; a wild wold
Diving into
A paradoxical place
Flowing
Leaving no trace

Love your poetic reflections – what a body of softly rippling water with a shadowy reflection won’t do for us!
